Everything is lined up as it should be physically. The starter worked perfect before, now it doesnt want to mesh properly. No missing flywheel teeth, tried new starter, bolts go in tight as they should. Lots of power to the starter. Makes a grinding sound as if gears arent meshing. My thoughts now are either the flywheel teeth aren worn just enough to not work, or I have a weird power issue causing the bendix to not fully kick out. Any info would help.

did you measure?

did you check for volt drop in crank?
Didnt check for volt drop in crank. My next test is going to be attaching jumper cables to the starter wire and ground and bypassing the car wiring. If it cranks fine then I can eliminate the starter/flywheel. (I believe)
