lol thanks - hater!!

its been 3 months of hell, you would think it just bolts up, and most of it does....

the oil filter/oil cooler/alternator bracket setup is murder on a fox swap.

yes I bought the car and the motor 3 months ago (july 4th weekend for the car)

yes stock llx4 pcm with an msd dis4 under the pass seat. i have msd coils to put on too (red lol)

tuning will be done with the sniper flash tuner we just bought for the shop.

yes i used the manifolds and they worked like they were made for this. i did clean them up inside a 6iny bit though.

the hardest part was the oil filter mount/alt mount/oil cooler - bar none

a buddy of mine owns an exhaust shop so we built the 3" system with x pipe there. for now ill tell you that the oil filter is now remote and a large chunk of that bracket/oilfilter mount is being melted down for beercans.
i can post a couple pics tonight when im not posting by phone

correct - simmons old car! the 5.0 is on the stand awaiting some freshening.
Yes it is complete -

many of your questions can be answered in the pics on that photobucket link
http://s680.photobucket.com/albums/vv169/ProjectRudeAwakening/ < here it is again

now on to the bits n pieces

I trimmed nothing but the hood. the car had the K already - so fitment with a stock K is on you, I have no idea. the oil filterpart of the assembly interfered with the rack, the motormount stand, and the motormount.

knowledge in welding aluminum is a requirement in this swap. knowledge in fabricating also. this is NOT a bolt in and drive it proposition. brake master cylinder clearnce is tight. plan on dropping the motor to change valve cover gaskets...

hope you have deep pockets too - deals like I found are rare. this is a $17,XXX crate motor from uncle Henry. and the car it went into was the PERFECT home for it.

I will share all the info you need, thats why I took the pics and made it public!

its easy but hard

drove it tonight

link to pic in question? there is 16 pages of pics there lol

I did not do the IRS swap - I purchased the car with the roadrace suspension and big brakes.
Im just the engine swapper at this point

ill look into that - did you put supports in the holes when you did this so the Metal wouldn't crush? the car has been together for 6-7 years now ill look to se if there are any witness marks from things moving around THANKS!

make no mistake, i am not claiming to have done anything but the swap
i have acquired contact info for Mr David O. Simmons and have been in touch with him about a few of the modifications that weren't well documented on his site. i LOVE the car. it is the way ford should have made them! it rides well handles very well and is comfortable enough for a cross country drive.
it is David Simmons old car - with nearly twice the power...

Cool - David must find what you are doing very interesting. Glad you made contact with him. Your swap is the kind of thing he might have done. Is the old EEC Tuner still in the PCM?

Is the engine stock?

#30 · (Edited)
no I removed the EEC tuner and bought the Sniper special forces setup (flash programmer, chip burner, all the software for gas-diesel-custom tunes) and as of right now it has a very basic "safe" tune in it.

put about 100 miles on it today just out enjoying it

-EDIT- yes the engine is "stock" there was some casting flash removed in the intake and heads, but otherwise it is as ford built it right now. I DO have a pulley for it though:king:

Yo Dude - that is one long video without much excitement. I think I fell asleep twice while we were driving behind that red truck. :)

Go out and drive it like you stole it and post that video!
