1990 Ford Mustang LX 351M powered!! Project Cherry Bomb!!
Started trying to trace down more electrical gremlyns.. The X came by so I got her to help me with testing the wires to the fuel pump before installing the fuel tank. So I hooked up the meter to the feed wired to the pump, key on, got .12 volts for a sec and dropped to nil... Hrmmmm... Should be 12 not .12... Tried it over and over same result.. went to the shut off relay in the rear next to the left taillight... Checked voltage there... Same result.. .12 volts for a moment then nil... So I pulled up the driver's seat to check the relay under it... Pink/black tracer for fuel... Got .12 volts there as well... Not 12 volts then a drop like you would expect for a pump that was priming then stops.. but .12 volts.. yes I double checked to make sure I had the meter on the right setting by checking at the battery and got 12.6 volts so I know it was set right. Am I checking it wrong or where do I need to go from here?? FYI it is a 90 foxbody that came with a 4 cyl from the factory...
