anyone know of any custom engine builders in the ft lewis washington area or within a reasonable driving distance? looking to get a 331 built for some snail boost. ive priced dss and im looking at about 6-7k for a longblock. not sure what i all want to go into it with me being fairly new to the ford crowd. i do know that its going to need a custom grind cam, forged bottom end, good flowing heads(afr205s?), main support, probably some crane gold rollers, needs to handle about 600 rwhp. ill be back from iraq in a few months and id at least like to get a long block on an engine stand shortly after or at least have a good place to start talking some numbers.
hey thanks wythors i got your post over on stangnet too. any idea of how much im looking at price wise for a build like this? im thinkin right around 5-6ish. does that sound about right or am i way off?
Blood Enterprises is not a machine shop...they just tune cars and farm out all their machine work to other machine shops. Bliss is a full machine shop, with lots of experience, has an engine dyno and is close to you.
Dave? which place is he at? anyone have a rough idea of what im going to be looking at for what i want built? im in iraq right now but ill be home in a few months so i cant really get to calling anyone yet.
Bliss Performance, if you are located at Camp Murray, is no more than 20 miles away from you. Cost: It all depends in what you want done. The best thing to do is to call or pay a visit to Bliss upon your return from Iraq.
I have a bliss 331 and am very happy with the build quality. You will not be disappointed.
