1994 Mustang GT convertible
Just recently replaced the fuel pump, then got the same problem a few weeks later, hard starting like it is out of fuel. (Battery is new, starter replaced three years ago; plugs, cap and rotor replaced about 5 years ago). So I checked fuel pressure with a gage and no fuel pressure loss. It is an intermittent problem. One person suggested that it may be the automatic fuel shut off switch. He said next time it just won't start, bang the switch (in trunk behind valance) a few times. I did and it makes a weird mechanical noise, even with the key off. That didn't seem to work, so I just pushed the button on the switch and it started up. Has anyone heard of this switch being a problem? I'm sure it can go out. Just checking to see if it is a common problem. My car is a 94 GT convertible with a 5.0.
