I have an AEM Series 1 (serial 1400-0260) Ford EEC IV pnp and I believe it has sadly given up the ghost, I know it is a no longer supported EMS but I am looking at a way to test it to confirm it is dead and move forward if that is the case. I was hoping you could provide me with guidance on both. Is there a way I can test and troubleshoot the series 1? In the event it is dead what is the easiest upgrade path? It is going on a 1986 Ford mustang 5.0 turbo, using an AEM EPM and running LS coils for coil on plug.

Well it turns out I am an Idiot, my ground had come off causing the always off line status. Though it has given me the motivation to look into a new ecu does anyone have any experience with the AEM Infinity 508?

Yes the 1400 is what I had, I reached out to aem and they took it on a trade in and I got a 508 for $400 and I am building my own harness with all gm plugs and sensors, so if I blow it up I can put an ls in it. I will be nice to see what tuning on a modern ecu looks like.
